Felix the Chip

I still haven't counted up and cataloged the chips I purchased at the convention, but here's one of my favorite buys. It's from the Big Meadow Hotel in Lovelock, Nevada which opened in 1962 and closed in 1953. The cartoon character Felix the Cat is used on this chip as well as the $5 and $25 denominations from the same location. Felix was also used on the chips from Felix's Bank Club in Lovelock, which opened in 1953 and closed in 1977.
